In this video, Dr. Berg talks about hyperthyroidism and how to reduce its symptoms especially the ones that relate to the heart. When the thyroid is overworking and in a hyper mode, the demand for B1 increases because it is the nutrient that allows the fuel in the mitochondria in the cellular factories to be converted to energy. The deficiency in B1 causes all the heart complications and it is detected in 98% of patients with heart failure.

    I have hypothyroidism and I started taking Vitamin B 1 and selenium and a year later I went to a third of what I was taking on Levothyroxine and I have been on the same dose for almost 3 years prior. I do keto and I feel so much better. I have been doing it for a year and a half now! I was taking 185 mcg and down to 65 mcg.. my dr is going to do blood work again soon… just to be sure after a month so I’m taking what I need.

    I still dont understand why you have never touched on nor made a video on the one super food that contains almost all of the vitamins, amino acids, trace minerals and vital nutrients that you tell people to supplement in your countless videos, that can be found in consuming just one product every day???     Oh, Dr. Berg! I WISH I knew this two years ago. I had two cats die of Hyperthyroidism and congested heart failure plus fluid in their lungs that we kept draining. This information could have saved them. I will now start adding Nutritional Yeast to my current cat's food. Thank you!

    My heart's been suddenly jumping up 20 beats per min recently. I've been taking the nutritional yeast in capsule form after I eat. I saw somewhere that the B's are water soluble and will get flushed out if you take too much. I've switch to 1 capsule every 2 hours and I seem to be improving.

    My tsh came in “normal” at 2.5 but I have freezing hands and feet and eyebrow hair loss . My doctor wouldn’t order t4 or t3 which is rather annoying .

    3 days ago, I got my bloodwork results & the Dr. Said ur thyroid is high wrote a prescription and walked out. I asked what can I do to make it better…she said, nothing. Thyroid is thyroid. I'm not taking no pills. Thanks Dr. For all ur awsome information/knowledge.

    I have this hunch that oral infections drip down and damage the thyroid and sometimes cause hyperthyroidism. That it's really an oral health issue first. Could that be true? I wonder the same about migraines, bacterial or viral infections sneaking into the brain resulting in the symptom we call migraine. Heart damage from oral is not a hunch, that appears to be fact.
