You may have tried egg coffee, but what about egg beer? This twist on a Hanoi classic has put Giang Café on the tourist circuit. Cafe owner Nguyen Tri Hoa says the beverage — made from whipped egg yolk, sugar and butter combined with beer — emerged as a cheaper, local alternative to cappuccinos during the French colonial occupation.
