Justice Prakash Chandra Verma Transferred to Patna High Court
New Delhi, April. 08: The President of India transferred two judges of High Courts in exercise of power conferred under article 222 of constitution. In consultation with Chief Justice of India, President ordered transfer of Justice Prakash Chandra Verma, Judge, Allahabad High Court to the Patna High Court.
He graduated in Law from the Lucknow University in the year 1975. Enrolled as an Advocate in March 1976. Before being elevated as permanent Judge of the Allahabad High Court in Feb 1999 he was Chief Standing Counsel for the State of U.P.
He was appointed as acting Chief Justice of High Court of Uttarakhand from Apr 01, 2003 to Aug 04, 2003, from Dec 18, 2003 to Jul 24, 2004 and for the third time from Jan 08, 2006 to Jan 13, 2006.
He will retire on January 11, 2013.
In another transfer, Justice Mool Chand Garg, 56, Additional Judge, Delhi High Court has been transferred to Madhya Pradesh High Court.
He did B.Com (Hons.) and LL.B. from Delhi University and a Diploma in Cyber Laws and joined Bar Council of Delhi in 1978. He was elevated to the Bench of Delhi High Court as an Additional Judge in April 2008.
The transfers will come into effect from the date they assume charge of office on or before April 19, 2011.
