E3: Nintendo to Announce New Videogame Console
Los Angeles, June 7: Over $65 billion global game console market is expected see a turn around with the announcement of new game console from Nintendo at Electronic Entertainment Expo, Los Angeles between June 7 and June 8. Gamers will have new option for the first time in last five years when Sony launched PlayStation 3 in 2006 and Microsoft launched Xbox 360 console in 2005.
Nintendo, maker of one of the most popular game console Wii, is expected to introduce HD graphics, a special controller, motion sensors at E3. The struggling Japanese company is going to launch new console during at E3.
Another video game console giant from Japan Sony, which is struggling to restore it PlayStation network after the cyber attack, is expected to announce the NGP, or Next Generation Portable. The NGP has 5-inch touch screen with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity making it complete entertainment device.
In a move to regain the lost faith of PlayStation users Sony is expected to announce the details of pricing of NGP, launch date and future games at the E3 conference.
Online gaming, with projection of sales value of $18 billion this year, is going to be another mega bloc buster at E3 conference.
Meanwhile, Microsoft announced the launch of all new Xbox 360 with Kinect and added YouTube, voice command and television shows to make it a complete entertainment console.
