Ahmadabad, May, 19:United States President Barack Obama has thanked Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for sending him the book authored by him on climate change initiatives. Modi had written this book "Convenient Action: Gujarat Initiatives", a first by any Chief Minister on the issue of climate change.
The Chief Minister had sent a copy of the book to US President Barack Obama. In a thanks giving letter to Narendra Modi, the US President wrote, "As our two nations work to address the new and complex challenges facing our world, I am hopeful about what our countries can accomplish together".
Obama began the letter with "Dear Chief Minister Modi" and said "I would like to extend my deepest thanks and appreciation for your kind gift". At the end "Again, thank you for the wonderful gift", wrote Obama, while signing off.
Earlier Bush administration denied the American Visa on account of 2002 riots to Modi who was looking forward to visit the US. Now it looks that ice is melting for Modi.
