New Delhi, Sept 26: Railway Minister of India Mr Dinesh Trivedi will inaugurate the three-day International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) on Wednesday which will see participation of more than 200 exhibitors from 22 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France and China.

The 9th IREE is being organized at Delhi by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Ministry of Railways. 

This is the flagship event in India for the Railway industry and allied sectors will conclude on September 30.

The countries participating in the event includes Italy, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Russia, Singapore, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

The Indian Railways pavilion at the IREE 2011 includes display and active participation from all production units, regional Railways, Public Sector Undertakings and National Rail Museum. 

The first edition of the exhibition was organized in 1990 in Kolkata the event turned a biennial affair since 2003.

IREE is also hosting the International Rail Conference 2011 with the theme of "Rail Transportation in India: Moving to the Next Orbit" it will center mainly on future of rail transportation in India. 

The International Conference, a major international leadership forum, will be attended by over 400 industry experts, policy makers, stakeholders from the Railways and urban transport sector.
