New Delhi,June,12: Finally after 20 days of exercise after the withdrawal of 'most wanted' list from its official website amid controversy the federal investigative agency of India, CBI had uploaded a pruned list having 143 names.
The new list has included the names of Nielsen Niels accused of Purulia arms drop Christian alias Kim Davy whose extradition proceedings are pending in a Denmark court and Ravi Shankaran an accused in Naval war room leak case among other criminals.
Their was 550 names in the previous list, but new list has only 143 persons, against whom Red Corner Notices are still pending, have been placed on the website after carefully verification by the agency.
"RCN subjects wanted by State Police and other agencies are being updated and will be published in the website shortly," sources said.
The CBI was facing severe criticism across the country for providing name of one convict Feroz Rashid Khan in the 'fugitive' list handed over to Pakistan whereas that person was found lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Road prison and for several other errors in the list.
Following the goof-up, the agency swung into the action and reaction, CBI suspended one inspector and transferred a Superintendent of Police and a Deputy Superintendent of Police accountable for the goof-up.
From now onward CBI started to review the wanted persons against whom Interpol notices have been issued, on regular basis and communications are being mailed to respective state police and organizations to give updates about these persons.
