New Delhi, Dec. 27: India Police Service (IPS) officer Ajay Chadha from the AGMU cadre has been appointed as Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Ministry of Home Affairs. The topper of the 1977 batch get the pay of Rs 80,000 (Fixed).

He will hold the post till August 31, 2013 or until further orders.

Earlier during Commonwealth Games, government has appointed Ajay Chadha as the special commissioner of police for Commonwealth Games.

Before coming to Union, Chadha was serving as director general of police, Arunachal Pradesh.
