New Delhi, May 28: The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) of Government of India has approved the appointment of four senior Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers for the post of Additional Secretary in various departments. 

N Ravi Shanker, 1980 batch IAS officer from Uttrakhand cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in Department of Information Technology. 

Devindra Pal Singh, a 1980 batch IAS officer from UP cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences. Another IAS from MP cadre of same Swarnamala Rawla has been made additional secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.

The ACC approved the upgrading of the post held by Vijay Laxmi Joshi, 1980 batch IAS officer from Gujarat cadre. She is presently a Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce and has been posted as additional secretary in same department.
