Mumbai, Aug 19: Indian film director cum producer, Prakash Jha, known for his socio-political films like Damul, Mrityudand, Gangaajal, Apaharan and Raajneeti, is ready with his another politically controversial movie on Naxalite theme titled  “Chakravyuh”.

Scheduled for Oct 24 release, “Chakravyuh” will have Arjun Rampal, Abhay Deol, Manoj Bajpayee, Kabir Bedi, Esha Gupta, Anjali Patil and Om Puri in leading roles.

Speaking at the launch of trailer of the movie, Jha said that he has tried to encompass views from both the sides to increase understanding of the issue of Naxalism.

“The message of the film is to understand the whole issue of Naxalites, what happens and why it happens, to bring into the limelight the tragedy, which unfolds everyday,” media reports quoted the director as saying.

On solution for the problem, in which thousands of people died in last decade from both the sides, he said, “If the problem is diagnosed with an open mind, the solution to this problem will also arise.”

On his point of view on the violent approach of the Naxalites he said that though he supports Naxals’ or Maoist rebels’ ideology of social equality he isn’t in favour of the method they adopt to achieve it.

“They want a classless and equal society, something which I support. I don’t support the method which they adopt in order to achieve their goal,” he added further.

On his cast he said, that he found Arjun Rampal suitable for the role police officer Adil Khan.

"I was aware of the situation but didn't know how organized it is and how strongly it is funded and what a big war it is. I feel that by violence and atrocities, no one will get anywhere," Arjun was quoted as saying by IBNLive.

Abhay, who is playing a role of new Naxal recruit in the movie, at the launch of the trailer said, “I have a feeling that this will get worse and the government and public needs to address it."

Music for this film is composed by Salim-Sulaiman. There is item song Tambai Rang Tera in the film, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
