New Delhi, May 3: We have seen almost all celebrities as brand ambassador of one or the other product and sometimes donning hat of social message campaigner. Latest in the list is Vidya Balan....in bold and very challanging Rural Ministry's santitation campiagn.
In one such initiative, India's Rural Development picked national award winner Dirty Picture fame bollywood actor Vidya Balan to campaign for "end defecation in open" under sanitation campaign.
Minister in charge Jairam Ramesh is hopeful that Vidya's involvement will make the campaign a "national obsession".
Vidya Balan, in a lighter mood, said, "For an actor, what can be better than doing dirty picture on screen and off screen a clean picture?
It seems, Vidya started the campaign before official start by a perfect punch line.
When asked about the suitability of Balan for the role, Ramesh said, "This is clear picture for her."
Vidya, who's Dirty Picture dialogue--acting, acting and acting-- touched millions of fans will now be seen saying -- sanitation, sanitation and sanitation.

Minister expressed hope that she will help in reaching the total sanitation goal.
According to UNICEF-WHO estimates, still 60% of India's 1.2 billion population practices open defecation.
Asia's third largest economy, which is portrayed as global power in the making, needs to speed up the efforts to improve living standards of common men.
