Bangalore, May 17: The results of Karnataka SSLC 2012 has been announced today at 12 noon. It seems it is almost a set trend that girls's outperform boys in almost every exam. Same in Karnataka as well, where girl's passing percentage stood at 81.16% leaving boy's far behind at 71.73%.
Higher education minister Vishveshwar Kageri announced the results in Bangalore on Thursday May 17. Out of 850,000 appeared in the exam some 76.13% students passed tha exam of SSLC 2012.
District wise, Udupi topped the list followed by Sirsi, Hassan and Bidar coming last.
As compared to previous year, passing percentage improved 2.22%. Examination Board said that the supplementary exams will be held on June 18.
Say it a shock or something else, there are 47 schools in Karnataka where passing percentage is zero. Topper student, scored 623 out of 625.
The SSLC 2012 result is available on the following websites: http://karresults.nic.in, http://sslc.kar.nic.in, www.examresults.net, www.karnatakaeducation.net and http://results.KarnatakaEducation.net.
Students can also access their results via SMS by sending RESULT KAR12 along with their registration number to 56263.
The pre-university (PU) examination results will be announced on May 23. About 600,000 students appeared for the PU examination in 2012.
