Patna, June,1:Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) had successfully organized Preliminary Examination (PT) for Combined State Services on 17th April, 2011.The General Studies paper was the basket of mixed bag as some questions were quite easy and straight forward specially on History and Current Affairs and some questions were tricky from Environmental Science, Geography etc.
The result of the BPSC PT 2011 is expected in the first week of June as it was announced by the Chairman of the BPSC after the examination.
According to BPSC, there were 2 lakh candidates had applied for BPSC pre exam and out of them 60% from them appeared in the PT. It means about 1 lakh 20 thousand had taken the exam. If we go by trends of BPSC, results should be 10% of the total appearance and due to candidates coming under domain of fixed cut off, total number of candidates selected in PT exam. could be around 13000-14000.
There are mixed reaction among aspirants about level of question asked in the exam. It is likelihood that about 6 to10 questions would be removed from the evaluation process.
Hence cut off may be slightly low as compared to it is expected. The experts believes that 92-96 would be for General Candidate, 80 for EBC, 85 for OBC, 70-75 for SC/ST said director of a coaching institute.
BPSC generally publishes its keys along with the PT examination.As per the reports 200 more vacancies could included by the time result of PT is declared. Hence total seats will be above 700.
The expected cut- off can be as follows, keeping in mind the number of seats and last batch cutoffs of BPSC for the General = 95 to 100, BC I = 85 to 90,BC II = 90 to 95,SC/ST = 80 to 85,BC (Girls) = 75 to 80 said the expert associated with the examination process.
